Community Midwives

Our midwives are Liz Hodgson, Francis Bendle and Elaine Irving. They can be contacted on 016977 41365.

Clinics are held at Brampton Cottage Hospital on Tuesdays and Thursdays and at Corby Hill Surgery on a Wednesday between the times of 09:10 and 12:10. You can make an appointment by telephoning Brampton Medical practice on 016977 2551.

The midwives are at Brampton Surgery on Saturday mornings between 10.30 and 11.30 if you have any wories or are concerned about anything. Please remember to take your book with you to all your appointments so it can be updated.

To book the Longtown Clinic please telephone 01228 791328, they have a clinic there on a Friday between 09:15 and 11:15.

Health Visitors

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.

Health visitor and nursery nurse led clinics are as follows:

  • Brampton Community Centre, BramptonThursdays 10.00 - 12.00
  • Down A Gate Community Centre, Warwick Bridge 13.30 - 15.00 1st Tuesday of the month.
