Do you need vaccinations?

Our Nurses can provide comprehensive travel health advice and arrange for appropriate immunisations. Please arrange an appointment for a travel consultation at least 6-8 weeks before departure if possible. Vaccines need time to take effect and some may require a course over several weeks.

Travel Vaccination Prices

Travel advice is covered by the NHS; however some vaccinations and prescriptions are only available privately.  

The following vaccines are immediately available in the surgery:

NHS: Diphtheria, Tetanus, Polio, Hepatitis A, Typhoid

Non-NHS: Hepatitis B - adult £23.38, child £17.41 per dose (usually 3 or 4 required),  Rabies £86.74 per dose (usually 3 required) Meningitis ACWY £54.00, Japanese Encephalitis £129.33 per dose (usually 1 or 2 required), Tick-borne Encephalitis £57.60 (usually 1 or 2 required)

Chlorea is charged at the current NHS prescription cost.

All anti-malaria medications are provided at a private cost, depending on each individual travel needs, these will be discussed at you travel consultation.

Yellow Fever vaccination is not provided in the surgery but available from specialist travel clinics.
